Karlos Williams Suspended 10 Games For Violating Drug Policy

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Karlos Williams has officially been suspended ten games by the NFL for violating the substance abuse policy.

In 2015, Williams was showing signs of becoming a future star after putting up promising numbers during his NFL debut with the Buffalo Bills. He finished 2015 with 517 yards and seven touchdowns on 93 carries while backing up LeSean McCoy.

During the off-season he showed up to training camp sessions overweight and unmotivated. He was reportedly taking several drugs while his girlfriend's pregnancy. He was suspended right away being ineligible to play the first four games. The Bills ended up releasing him to be placed on the Steelers practice squad. The young running back has not appeared in a game for the Pittsburgh Steelers and will not be eligible to play until the fifth game of next season depending on whether the Steelers elect to keep him or another team takes him.

At 23 you would think he has so many more seasons left in him.
