Should Notre Dame DL Jerry Tillery Be Kicked Off the Team?

Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

Notre Dame defensive lineman Jerry Tillery was caught on camera kicking USC running back Aca'Cedric Ware in the head for no reason. The two went down after a helmet-to-helmet collusion in the forth quarter of today's game.

Ware was down on the field for awhile before struggling to get back on his feet. Luckily, he was able to walk off the field without any help from training staff. Somehow Tillery was able to continue playing out the rest of the game with limited discipline time. Later He purposefully stepped on the ankle of USC offensive lineman Zach Banner as he walked by. Banner was laying defenseless on the ground obviously already injured.

The Fighting Irish ended up losing the game 45-27, bringing on the worst record the team has seen since 2007 (4-8). Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly was seen reportedly yelling at Tillery after the unnecessary personal fouls, but did not keep him out of the game.

Tillery has appeared in all but one of the twelve games so far and had 3.5 tackles for a loss in today's game.

How should his actions be handled? Does he deserve to play football anymore? How would you handle the situation?
