Need Another Reason to be Disappointed in Jeff Fisher?

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Rams have experienced all kinds of struggles this season. The Rams are now 4-8 with their most recent loss to the New England Patriots today. Last week the team got blown out by the Saints making it their sixth loss in seven games. That is the first time that this has happened to the Rams since Jeff Fisher took the head coaching position in 2012.

Fisher has been criticized a lot this season, but still managed to get a contract extension through 2018. That does not add up. For all the mistakes he has made he gets rewarded with more millions and gets to keep his job longer. Through Fisher the team has not managed to do better than 7-8-1 in a season (7-9, 9-10, 7-9, 7-8-1, and 2-14).

Over a five year period under Fisher, the team has been docked for the most penalties (691) and have averaged the fewest yards per game (309.1). In addition, he has been feuding with former Rams player and Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson. Dickerson has been banned from standing on the Rams sideline after he criticized the team this season.

"I'm not concerned," Fisher said earlier last week when asked about his job. "I don't look over my shoulder, like I've said over and over again. I'm not concerned about my job. I have a great relationship with Stan. He understands the difficulties that were placed on this organization as far as the move is concerned."

In today's game against the Patriots Fisher made yet another dumb move. You can see for your self:

He tried to challenge a play, but could not find his challenge flag anywhere on him. Fisher had to try and verbally request a challenge.
