Josh McDaniels Will Likely Have Several Head Coaching Offers on the Table

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has seen his value increase during his second go-around with his current team. There are several teams that are in need of head coaches and would be willing to give coaches like him a shot. Per Ben Volin of Boston Globes, McDaniels "should have his choice of jobs this year and he is likely to take one."

There could be a trade deal coming out of New England involving McDaniels and Garoppolo.

After the Rams fired their head coach Jeff Fisher there has been plenty of talk about which coaching staff would fit well in Los Angeles. McDaniels has appeared in some conversations. However, McDaniels is not going to rush this decision. He may not take a head coaching job right away.

Per Mike Freeman, "The Rams want Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels (get in line, Rams). But, I'm told, McDaniels is in no hurry to become a head coach again. So keep that in mind as you hear his name repeatedly after the season. He is a patient guy and will wait for the perfect opportunity."

He spent one year as the head coach for the Denver Broncos, but was fired after the went 3-9.  Lots of teams are looking for offensive minded coaches to fill their head coach vacancy. Expect many offensive coordinators to shift around at the end of the season. More details regarding McDaniels will come out in the next few weeks.
